Update: Now Open to Industrial/Business/Farm Agricultural Customers ONLY

We finally have some good news to report! Effective Monday, June 1st, 2020, we will open our gate to accept material of all types (both ferrous and non-ferrous) from our Industrial, Business, and Farm/Agricultural customers ONLY. (For those of you who do not fall under one of these categories, please be patient—we plan to accept material from you in a couple weeks, hopefully on June 15th and after the “Stay at Home” order has been lifted. We will post another update as the date draws nearer.)

As before, we will continue to operate during our normal business hours of 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, and our scales will continue to close at 4:15pm. However, there are a couple changes to be made aware of:

  • We request that you please wear a mask when visiting our yard.

  • Pull between the cones and wait patiently at the STOP SIGN near our new office. One of our staff will be out to greet you, get you checked in, and give any further instructions.

  • Only ONE CUSTOMER in each department of our facility at a time. This means only one person at the tin/long steel piles and one person at the non-ferrous metals shop at any given time.

  • STAY in your vehicle. The only exception to this may be when you are removing straps/tarps and unloading your steel in our scrap piles.

  • DO NOT ENTER any of our buildings. We will weigh your non-ferrous items for you and will bring your weight slip and check to you at the end of your visit.

  • Keep a DISTANCE of at least 6 feet between yourself and our employees at all times.

  • STAY HOME IF YOU ARE ILL or experiencing any symptoms like fever, coughing, sneezing, or difficulty breathing.

The above is to ensure the safety of everyone while visiting our facility, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we adjust to the changes in our yard. We also will continue to follow the guidelines as set forth by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Last but not least, we look forward to seeing our customers again!! If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at dwsalvage@dwsalvage.biz or give us a call at 989-269-6829.

Sincerely,

D&W Salvage, Inc.
